My flatmates discover this project and they signed in..When I saw how cool this project was I wanted to join aswell and here I am, trying to fill it up with nice sketches with the theme "I remember you".

The deadline to send it back it's around January so I will update some of the drawings :)

Today I also finished the ilustrations for a kids book called " Una oportunidad para Mati" that I did for the writer Pilar Albertieri. Hopefully it'll be published in Spain soon. I'll keep updating and here is the cover :)

Dance animation with Darko Belevski

(by the way at the end I didnt put the skirt -not for lazy- but for the design, was working better like this simple :)

The last week and this next one we're doing dance animation. I choose the tango song (5 sec) and we also got the option to choose character, so I just did my one..simple one so it'll be more easy to try to focus more in the little details and have it as finished as I can. In few days I'll update the animation :)(by the way name totally randome..mmm not good at names so just went for the clixe ;))

Starting Animation Jam!

Today we got into groups and we got to brainstorm the idea.
Tomorrow we going to pitch the story infront the class and get some input to make it better.
I came up with this suggestion of the look that the short could have (by the way the characters are a "ornitorrinco" and a sandwich who talks in rhymes about how to be cool...mmm I know it sounds strange so I leave you with the curiosity of the story and I tell you on the next post ;))

Layout week

This week we had to work on a layout based in a deleted scene on "Emperors new groove".
I think I kind of like this one much more than the one I'm working on now. I had to re do it because it wasn't the style of the film (I did it a bit too flat the film its more volumetric)...i'll think about if i want to post the "well done" one ;)I still think the flat one looks better ;)

Character Desing with Julia Bracegirdle II

This is a run test I did for the character to see if it was animatable (as well to check if the texture on the hair and trousers would flicker too much, but i think it's fine) and to test the attitude he has.
I also did it running because in the 5 second scene he would be running the all time (even if not from the side)

That's the final look of the clay model I did.

This it's the final concept for the character on the "escape project" in this moment we're making the "maquette" of it...next week I'll update some images and the turn around :)

This is some designs I research today with "collage" tecnic. Tomorrow more research and soon start the "maquet".

Coming back again to the "Escape project" (we're doing it in couples, one from CA and the other from CGa) the animators we have to design the character and animate it.
This is our story and from here this week we're going to research a good and "animatable" character design.

This asignment was about doing some character designs about the good light bulb (the one people should buy) and the bad one (also give good light but it's bad...because...it's not ecologic! or something like that) here I thought represent them mostly as a superhero vs villain or the one as a kids :)

Today we had "story" class (how to structure a story etc etc..) but I couldn't stop myself to train drawing character designs for our semester asignment that's gonna be togheter with the cga's with the theme scape (by the way this character has nothing to do with it but I just find her cute ;))

I did this sketch time ago and I started to paint it aswell but until now I had no clue to how approach it or in wich style I wanted to experiment..so at the end I just came up with that... is based in a classmate, but when I painted it turned a bit different, but anyways I hope Kristina likes it aswell ;)

Week 40-41 Mike Nguyen assignment

This is an assignment Mike give us to experiment doing our first animation with our own character design.
It was about make a little 5 seconds animation about ourselves at the age of 6-8 years old, something that represent us..I just could remember that I was quite shy at that age so there is what I came up with...
After Mike week was finished in DK we had holidays so I took the chance to paint it by hand and thanks to my class mate and good friend Adrian Walt who help me at compositing and having a lot of patience with me... I could finished with the result I wanted :)
